Hello. My name is sam and i’m 14. I bought a Sony Xperia E5 a little over a year ago and it’s been working just fine all this time even though I cracked the screen; but about last week, it stopped charging. Its battery is now dead, it turns off as soon as I turn it on so I can’t use it at all. I’ve tried charging it with many different charging cables and none worked. I’ve tried leaving the cable inside all night hoping it would get to work after a few hours but nothing. There’s no lint inside the USB port, I had absolutely zero trouble with charging before that could’ve indicated it would eventually stop working... I don’t understand what’s the issue and how I could fix it... I was planning to buy a new one anyway but i absolutely need to get this one to work because I have google accounts saved on there and I don’t remember which email addresses they’re associated with and I need them, they’re really important. Could anyone help me?
I have the exact same issue had mine for a year and besides cracked screen had nothing wrong with it then suddenly wouldn't charge anymore not matter what cable I use sometimes it charges but it charges very erratically gaining a few percent then starts to lose charge even if I shut down all apps have down a little research online from what I can tell I think it could be either it needs a new battery or a new charging port but I'm not sure best bet would be if your phones still under warrenty is to go get it checked out at a Sony repair shop
you can try different wall chargers and/or cables BUT it seems that the damage might be more complex than a cracked screen, you need to get it inspected by your Local support
have tried different chargers with no effect the cracked screen I have had for about 6-7 months before this so the screen is not the problem
