My E4G will stay on standby for days however if I try to use it to browse pages or use apps after a very few minutes it shuts down usually without warning, but sometimes with a low battery display (no vibration or low battery warning chime). If I try to restart it may get to the screen lock display but will shut down again almost at once. If I plug in an alternate power supply it boots up fine often showing more than 90% charge. I have removed and replaced sim card done a hard reboot using the little switch that needs a probe to work it, and I have deleted all but the most essential apps, 25% of internal memory still remains. Any ideas on what is wrong? I would just buy a new phone but all the new SONY ones have USB C and not micro USB. I would have to replace about 10 charging leads in various places which would be a total pain and very bad for the environment replacing perfectly servicable components.
That seems to be a hardware issue, you might want to contact your Local support to get ir repaired, perhaps a new battery.
As for the USB-C you could buy micro usb to usb c adapter
