proximity sensor problem

Sorry for posting here, but there is no any Xperia E4 forum to post. If there is any, please transfer the thread there and let me know.

As I already mentioned, I have the Xperia E2105 phone. The last weeks, when I perform a phone call the screen turns off, even before I place it by my ear, and after the call the screen doesn't recover. I have to force restart the phone to turn the screen on again.

I sent it for service but the problem wasn't solved. What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

Hello you have any protective film on?

if you have that might be the problem because many plug the proximity sensor

Cheers

Hi,

Could you try the ear proximity via Diagnostics? Diagnostics can be found via Settings > About phone > Diagnostics.

The diagnostics test fails. And yes, I have a 3rd partie's tempered glass 9H 0.3mm screen protector on. Could it be the cause? Its package said it is compatible with the phone's touch screen and does not affect its functions.

@LordOfInternet

You should remove it and test it w/o it, make sure to clean the screen and proximity sensor after you remove it

You had right guys. The protective sleeve caused the problem. I removed it and now the device works fine. Thank you all!
