XAVC-S with DSC-HX90V

Hello,

when I try to record in Sony's onw format XAVC-S, i get an error message which tells me to use an SDXC Class I or UHS I memory card.

I use a SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB SDHC Class UHS-II, U3 card. Shouldn't that be enough?!

It should be fine even to shoot 4k video, I just want to record XAVC-S 1920x1080 50p (50M)...

Please help / do other users experience similar things, or, what memory card do you use in order to shoot with the mentioned format?

Thank you, all the best

Felix

Hi aenimal46,

I use this memory card here

I have a FDR-AX53 camcorder and the card has worked for both XVAC S HD & 4K recording successfully. There is a newer version of this card available which one would imagine may be faster ??

If the camera is not accepting the card can you try another one ?

Regards

If it ain't broke don't fix it
