"klucze szczęścia" / annastellaplWe would like to present to you the winner of our competition on the topic of "Keys & Locks". Read the interview and discover more about the photographer and the story behind his image.

Firstly, can you please tell us a little about yourself and why you took up photography?

I come from Białystok, and I work in Poland and abroad.

I have been a photographer for 8 years and I mainly specialise in portrait and stylised photography. I love creating editorials for beauty magazines.

My artistic education and giving in to aesthetics helps me a lot in creating frames, which I hope will be remembered by the people I have had the pleasure of photographing.

My passion is the quality of photos, the expressions and emotions — photos may be beautiful, but if they lack expression, they quickly become boring.

How did you feel when you were told you had won the competition?

When I read that I had won, my heart started racing — I nearly forgot that I had entered the competition, and then boom: there it was! I won. I felt, and continue to feel, great joy and satisfaction.

Tell us what inspired you to capture this image.

Nature and the environment inspired the people taking part in the session and me to create this picture.

Can you share some tips that could help other photographers to create photos worthy of entering a competition?

“The key to happiness” is the key that unlocks ourselves, and our potential, which we should use wisely to develop ourselves, our planet and nature.
