Where can I obtain a lens cap for my Sony PD-150 video camera? Ideally one that's identical to the one that comes with the camera. Such an easy thing to loose, such an (apparently) difficult thing to replace.
Hi _Stuart
I believe my colleagues in the Broadcast & Professional side of the company will be able to help with this one. I have provided a link to the spare parts and repair section of their website.

Hope it helps

I checked with Sony Professionals Spare Part Service and unfortunately they have a "minimum order value" of £500. They don't touch customers who want something that'll cost less than that. See: http://www.sony.co.uk/biz/content/id/1182234936368/section/service-support-service-support-parts-rep...
That's pretty rubbish for a start, but it get's worse.
Even looking on eBay, like-for-like replacement lens caps for a Sony PD-150 are extremely difficult to find. I only found one seller - in China - and he was charging £100 !!!
I'm just appalled that something as easy to loose as a lens cap - a small piece of plastic - is so difficult and so ridiculously expensive to replace. What the heck is going on here Sony?
Any further suggestions for how to replace this simple item would be extremely gratefully received...
That is pretty rubbish, and I am sorry my first post just directed you back to where yous started.
I should have known it couldn’t be that straight forward, especially as, by design, the broadcast side of the company have to do things a little differently.
I have since spoken to my colleagues in Broadcast and Professional who have provided the answer below.
'Yes he can order this from any of our dealers. Please see the below link of dealers and the attached PDF of our service centres that can also supply this to him'.
Got there in the end, sorry it took two attempts.
