sony sdhc cards

Hi, i have a SONY HDR-CX115E hd handy cam with a sony SDHC 4gb card.

When i purchaced the camera i was told i must use a sony sd card in it, is this true?

Can i use the SD card in a Nikon SLR camera then back into the Sony?
