Hi robowork

I do not know the speed rating of your computer or wether you have a separate partitition for

video on your computer. If you try to record video on your main 'C' drive windows functions

always interfear with video recording which results in dropped frames in the recording.

However, in your case I think your computer processor is not fast enough to handle the

recording which is very demanding on you computer and since the recorded picture freezes

immediately you start recording. It looks as though your computer is just not fast enough.

If you post the details of your computer details and memory fitted, I may be help you further.

The HVR-HD1000E was a superb camcorder and gives excellent results being top of the

                      Sony range in its day.

Best regards Brian (Memorable Occasions Videos)
