I am told that when using a mono mic to record audio kit is necessary to tell the camera to record on one track only presumably by accessing the audio set up. I cannot seem to discover how to do this and nothing in the manual - does the camera somehow automatically reset irself - i'm toild unlikely!

Any ideas?

I have located a copy of the manual and you're right to say that this is not mentioned within it. Have you already tried connecting a mono microphone to see/hear whether you get the desired results?
