How to get GPS coordinates out of my Sony HDR-XR550V
How to get GPS coordinates out of my Sony HDR-XR550V??
I have been on a trip around the world with my wife, and on the camcorder we can see exacly where we have been. but how do i get this info outside my camcorder?
Hope someone very wise could tell me how to do that?
I use Final cut pro X to edit my files.

Hello Rami
As far as I am aware, the best way to get this data is to use the co-ordinates function whilst viewing a clip within the camera. On page 55 of the manual it is explained in full:

It is available during playback by looking under the 'Data Code' menu. On the other hand, if anyone else is aware of a way of getting the co-ordinates after importing the videos to another device, feel free to jump in!

Picture Motion Browser will display the coordinates in the properties menu and also show the location of the video in Map-view. However PMB is not available for MAC and I assume FCP will not be able to show the GPS info.
