HDR-HC3 mini (tape) DV HandyCam can't upload video to computer

Can anyone asdvise how to upload taped video from the mini cam (HDV, SP, 16:9) to computer

PMB doesn't recognise the camera, I have Vagas Home Studio but not tried that yet.

When I connect to computer it recognises the camera and successly loads the drivers - but the camera doesn't appear in Devices and printers. I am using PBM version 5.2.00 .... i have the original version 4.2 disc version of PBM but it doesn't support 64 bit computers.

Any suggestions?

Hi - just an update ..... I was able to capture the video on tape using Vegas Home Studio (version 10)

Still doesn't explain why PMB (version 5.2) wouldn't recognise the camera and capture the video - as thats what its bundled with the camera to do !!!!
