I'm using this camera and im unable to transfer videofiles to my MAC (snow leopard). I have tried using different setups for video recording but to no good.

When i connect my handycam to my mac via an usb cable, im unable to open the video files in either iMovie or iPhoto.

Is there any guide on the web to help me open these files on my mac or any additional software that i can install to help me.

Sony have produced an online guide for transferring data to a Mac computer and it is available here.

Try the steps described here first of all and if you are still having issues, please let me know the exact OS version and iMovie version and I will try and help further.
