handycam trouble

My handy cam DCR-DVD92E records and play well in the direct tv but when I want to play in a laptop or any DVD player the video freezes in between.can any body guide me.It records in a VOB formet

Hello shilpipatra

Are you finalising the disc in the camcorder before you place it into a DVD player or laptop? This will usually make the dvd readable in a wide variety of devices.

Yes Sir,I use only Sony DVD-RW and I finalise it before I put in my Dell Laptop to edit the video but the video is freezing after some time and the audio only continues ,Then I  converted it in AVI formet  ,same problem -Pl give me a solution.--Thanks
