Hi all.
Quite new to video shooting. Just bought a AX33 and when I film in 4k mode the film stutters when I pan the camera. All settings unchanged. In HD mode the stutter is gone.
Thx, Peter
Hi Peter, welcome to the Sony UK Community
I imagine you are shooting at 24p? It will always show a degree of judder during fast pans. If you shoot at 60p it should solve the problem. HD Mode probably shoots at a higher frame rate by default, hence the lack of panning issues.
Cheers
Mick
Hi Mick and thx .
I have only 25p to choose at 4K. Is that so with all 4K cameras?
Hi @puttekula
There are several threads available on this forum regarding the '4K stutter' and also on the internet (Google it),
it is also apparent on the FDR-AX53 and the FDR-AX100. I cannot verify if it is so on the relatively new FDR-AX700.
I don't think there has been any solution to this other than to either pan slowly or use a tripod !
