Sony support says to get my handycam to work with windows 7 use an ieee 1394 firewire, and the device will work

Not the case

Anybody got any further sugestions on how i can get it to work, without going back to XP

When you say that it isn't working, what exactly is happening i.e. do you get some kind of error message or any other odd behavior from your PC?

I have to admit, I have had this situation before and for this reason I have installed XP onto another partition so it can boot into either operating system.
