Recording from IPTV?

Hi. Does anyone know if this is possible? I've searched through the forums but cannot find an answer.

I've just got a new KD55A8BU and have added the HDD fine.  I'm looking to install an IPTV app but would like one that I could use to record from. Does anyone know?

I believe recording is only for TV programmes and does not work for any app.
