playback and recording problem KD 48XD8077

Hallo

I have recently noticed that when I am recording a program to my usb hdd if I try to playback the same program whilst recording the playback freezes and has to be restarted again. This happens after a few minutes of playback.  The program records fine and playback isn't an issue once the program has finished recording.

I have done a factory reset and the software is upto date

Does anyone else have or know of this issue?

In addition to this difficulty of simultaneously recording and replaying (aka time-shifting) the activity also stops me doing the BBC iPlayer catchup thing. Doesn't seem logical. I have to remember that, when I have set an HDD recording to run, I must try not to want to go on-line and use catchup TV. The tail shouldn't wag the dog. Poor user experience. Thank goodness for my non-Android antique PVRs:-)
