I have the Eurosport app loaded on my Sony Bravia (Model BRAVIA 4K UR3) and can play the highlighted programme, but the app doesn’t allow navigation using the remote up/down left/right. Other apps like BBC I Player load and work fine.
Very frustrating. Why doesn’t this work as it should?
Are there no Sony experts on here that are going to help?
Hi @OE07NM
I don't think this problem is related to the TV, since everything works fine with other apps. It could be the app itself that's causing the issue.
I'd recommend clearing the app cache by going to Settings - Apps - (application name) - Storage - clear or by uninstalling it and reinstalling again.

Thanks, had already tried uninstall/ reinstall and have done that again. Cleared cache etc and still doesn’t allow navigation using the remote. Any other ideas. Eurosport app works on iPad and will cast to the television, but it is very frustrating not being able to watch on the app direct in the same way I could a couple of months ago.
The TV is product KD-43XH8196, the UR3 is the model as quoted in the settings menu. Thanks.
Response from Eurosport. Would like to think that someone on here from Sony would be disappointed enough that they are excluded to put some pressure on Eurosport to get this sorted. No second guesses for what make my next TV is likely to be.
“I truly understand your point of view and I'd like to point out that Sony TVs are no longer compatible since the last platform update in 2019. This information has always been displayed on our help center where you can only find Samsung TVs as supported devices for the Eurosport apps.
As I mentioned, You may find the Eurosport and Eurosport Player apps available on your TV. However, the Apps were not developed for this device and you may not benefit from the full Eurosport services.”
So you prefer to buy which tv Eurosport has been partnered with exclusively living everyone else without support?
It does work but not with the Sony remote registered with the TV on Bluetooth! I have a second Sony remote which works only via IR so you can’t use the microphone for google etc. That one works fine with Eurosport app but the Bluetooth one doesn’t. It is the Sony Bluetooth link that’s the issue with this app.. I bought a second original remote when I bought my TV and you can get them on Amazon etc but quite an expensive solution, you can get cheaper clones that may work fine as well. You could deregister your remote from Bluetooth with the TV but then you lose the microphone function etc.. You only seem to be allowed one remote registered with the TV at a time.
Thank you. Managed to get a spare Sony IR remote and it does provide the necessary navigation. And I don’t have to de register the TV voice remote either. Still a pain having two remotes but at least it works.
