Brightness issue on power-up, K-75XR70

Sometimes when switching on TV, the screen brightness is significantly lower than that set (default number I think 35). This low brightness endures a power cycle and input selection – and indeed any other operation I’ve tried. The way I have found to restore it is to go to the TV brightness setting and rock it either up and down or down and up. The action of changing the number from, eg, 35 to 30, gets the TV substantially brighter – and by setting it back up to 35, brightness goes veery marginally brighter still – back to normal.

The only clue I have: this dim on state I think occurs only after the TV has had a “google home assist” voice command or two sent to it and enacted (e.g. turning on a light) while the TV is otherwise off/asleep (I have the TV set to always be ready for a microphone-on-remote command).

It is not dependent on the ambient light setting – use or not use makes no difference.

Once put back to the normal brightness by the number jiggle, there is no issue until the next power on (which may or may not reinstate the low brightness on state). My work-around is fine pro tem, but a solution in due course would be appreciated – other family members are less adept at coping with such issues.

I cannot find a means to break out of Sony’s website of ever decreasing circles to report this as a bug. Does anyone have a direct link to do this, please?

Thanks, Roger

Many thanks for that link. In the absence of any other suggestions I've sent the above text to Sony Support. Will publish anything useful in here.
