Same problem on a xg8505. Sometimes sound crashing and no beep-sound, sound in apps etc. Restarting the tv always fixes it.

Maybe it's incompatible apps, in some sort, which kills Android TV-sound.

Factory resetting tv shouldn't be necessary. An easy way to clearing the caches without being forced to hard rebooting tv should be offered in menus.

Rebooting the tv though is always good maybe once a week or so but not more often than that.

Our KD43XH8505 has the same problem. It is resolved by turning the TV off and back on again - but then returns intermittently. We have no idea what triggers it - updates/watching an app/drop in signal - but it is one of the many annoyances with this TV.

Might be due to too much cache, try clearing it (Settings - Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) and hold the Power button for a restart.

I’ve had my 48” A9 Oled just over 6 weeks now, and this issue started a couple of weeks ago.  No sound and speeded up applications - specifically Now TV, BBC iPlayer.  I have switched the TV off for 10 mins and this fixes it temporarily, but I’ve had to do it 2 days running now.

Just tried clearing the cache and this has also worked, but seriously should we really need to go through this lengthy process?
