HT-IS100 remote receiver replacement

Hi all

I have picked up an Amp with the remote but this does not work as the receiver is connected to the centre speaker which I do not have and would like to have a replacement but cannot find one anywhere

please help

Thank you for the quick response but I have a new remote its the remote receiver that's missing it connects to the amp to pick up signals from the remote to operate it.

Hi there

Yes, your quite right. The part you are looking for is:

Remote Commander Reciever (IR-R100)

Dimensions (approx.) 46 x 19 x 45mm (w/h/d)

Unfortunately I have been unable to find this part either. Therefore you have 2 options:

Try contacting Sony Support : HERE (to see if they can find it)
Connect a generic IR repeater to the back of the unit, see below:

Looking on Amazon, I found this:

There are many others if you search for "IR Extender"

Hello all. I have finally found a solution that works as a replacement for the IR-R100 for your HT-IS100 system. I've ordered several different types of IR receivers and finally found one that works. The only trick is, you have to plug it into the IR-R100 jack and not the "IR IN" jack. Link to solution below:

Hi,

I got the IR receiver you recommended and plugged it in. But still can’t get this thing to work...

I’ve tried a few different remotes, ir receivers but nothing. Has anyone had luck? Is there a universal remote that could be better?

I have the same problem.

Someone has pulled the cable out of the original Remote Commander, I have a new external remote receiver extender but it doesn't work (in either of the "in" ports).

Does anybody have any ideas?
