Sony htas5 force stereo mp3 to play over 5.1

Hi all,

I have a Sony HTAS5 Surround Sound System, on the whole its a brilliant system however one thing bugs me when playing mp3's it only outputs to the two front channles (L&R), is there any way to force stereo mp3's to play over all 5.1 channles?

Hi there

Try changing the sound field to A.F.D Multi (as i think this forces the sound to come out of all speakers)

Also try the sound field "Pro Logic", as according to the manual on page 34 "The source recorded in 2 channel format is decoded into 4.1 channels"
