BDV-E3100 wont play blu ray discs

I'm having problems trying to play Blu Ray discs on my Blu Ray player! My BR discs WILL play on a borrowed Panasonic unit but, when loaded onto the Sony machine, I get a "No Disk" message on the user interface screen. I have connected the Sony unit to the Internet and have downloaded the latest updated firmware. I have also done s system re-set to original factory settings (this retained the latest firmware version). I have been to my local Sony retailer and advised to contact Pencoed direct - no joy as the service line is constantly engaged. Has anyone out there had the same issues with playing Blu Ray discs on this product - and solved the problem? I'd really appreciate some ideas thanks.

Have you tried a lens cleaner?

Thanks, royabrown2, I've ordered a lens cleaner from Amazon, expecting it tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes, cheers.
