      <title>SA-Z9R rear speakers supplied with 13 amp fuses fitted!!!</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had to cut off the supplied pre-moulded UK 3 pin plugs to extend the power cables.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I noticed that they had been fitted with 13 amp fuses by the factory.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For safety, plugs should be fitted with fuses just above the rated current of the appliance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is possible to get very low rated fuses, but the lowest commonly available fuse would be 3 amps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I calculated that the current these speakers use is about 0.045 amps so the factory fitted fuses were over 280 times higher than needed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you own a pair for these speakers in the UK I would suggest checking the fuses and changing them for a lower rating.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I understand where you are coming from.&amp;nbsp; Work like this should only be done by someone competent at electrics.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Perhaps the fire may not have started if the device had been fitted with a suitable fuse.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
