Availability of STRDN 1080 Amplifier

Hello all. I am trying to buy an STRDN 1080 in Europe but cannot find any in stock. Can anyone tell me if this amplifier has been discontinued? I can see that it is still listed on the Sony website. I cannot find one in stock anywhere.

It looks like Sony are running down stocks of this receiver.

Despite its age (it’s from 2017, and showing it a bit) it’s still a very well regarded amp, though you might want to look at the Denon X2700H, if only to see the sort of spec any replacement for the 1080 will need to stay competitive.

I can’t, though, find a sniff of any information on what Sony might be planning as a replacement, or even if they are planning a replacement at all.
