Update of HT CT 790 sound bar

Have just connected sound bar to newer Sony TV and all is working as expected via WiFi connection.

So well that the bar tells me that an upgrade is available to the 2017 one.

I have checked that this is the case and attempted to update via the internet but after downloading the app it would not install.

I have just tried to go via the USB way but the app will not even download to my PC and I am going round in circles.

If you're referring to the soundbar update, you can find the steps for it here. But I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say app? 🤔
