Dolby atmos passthrough from xh90 tv to soundbar ht-x8500

I have a tv kd-65xh9096 and a soundbar ht-x8500.

Before playing media from netflix the atmos indicator is shown on Netflix and the indicator on the soundbar is shown when the media is played.

But, when I play media (that has dolby atmos) from a usb hdd connected to the TV then the indicator on the soundbar is not active.

I don't know if that is supposed to happen (meaning that it is impossible to pass the audio from usb->tv->soundbar) or there is a setting to do so.

I appreciate any help.
