HT-RT5 won't start at TV input

I have an HT-RT5 connected to a Panasonic TV by ARC. It seems to work fine, except that I have to pull out the Sony remote and select the TV input after a restart of the TV and soundbar. It starts up and goes immediately to the HDMI 1 input, which is where the cable box is plugged in.

Does this happen after unplugging the Sound bar from the mains or do you keep it plugged in all the time?

Try setting Control for HDMI to On on the Sound bar (page 27): https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4570/45701182M.pdf

Your TV should have the same feature so if you enable it on both sides, they should work together better.
