Which soundbar.?

Hi.

I'm looking to replace my STR-DN1060 wired surround sound system with a soundbar to tidy up the clutter of cables/speakers etc.

I'm looking at either the HT-ZF9 with SA-Z9R rear speakers (£798 for both), or the HT-ST5000 at £999.00.

I'm a little nervous about buying the HT-ST5000 as I've read a couple of reviews which say that the sound effect from the upward facing speakers isn't great & I don't want to spend that much money only to be disappointed.!.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these systems.?

I was blown away with the shop demonstration of the HT-ZF9 and suggest that you get a demo of both to compare.

Both are starting to be old models as I bought my HT-ZF9 with SA-Z9R back in 2018. No regrets what-so-ever. The rear speakers are essential in my opinion which put me off the ST5000. You should lower your expectations if you are expecting either of them to match a true 7 speaker Atmos system with above speakers.
