I have Sony XF9005 TV paired with the above mentioned sound bar and as you may know there are only two high speed HDMI ports available on it (2 & 3) one of which needs to be plugged into sound bar for it to work.

My question is - will I be able to play 4K HDR content through HDMI ports on the sound bar? I have PS4 Pro and Xbox One X and I’d like to keep both connected via high speed ports.

Second question - I was looking for some "gaming mode" setting in the sound bar settings, I found something “video direct" in the screen settings - is that it, and is that what I need endabled if I’m playing games whilst connecting via sound bar ports? I didn’t see port specific settings, so I’m assuming this would be applied on all ports?

I thought I remembered seeing it in the specs somewhere and I was right, this soundbar does mention "4K HDR HDMI Pass Thru" support under the Video Features section.

As for the settings, you just adjust the HDMI signal format under the HDMI settings section of the System settings menu. Pages 59 and 77 of the Manual show where the setting is and what difference it makes respectively.
