Blu Ray Home Cinema - random VERY loud high pitched noise

Hi all

Hope you’re keeping safe in these odd times. We have a BDV N790W. We’ve got it set up with an HDMI output to projector.

Three times this week the speakers have emitted a very loud high pitched tone that continued until we switched off at mains. Once it was during playing a DVD and twice during swapping the HDMI output cable between TV and projector output.

Is the system broken? What do we do to avoid repeats - it’s very antisocially loud and yesterday happened in the middle of the night.
