I've never seen this model before, but I'm guessing it might have been a typo and you meant KDL-32WE613. If that's true, you might want to update your TV since one was released about 3 days ago which improves the overall performance of the TV: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-we61x_w61xe_we66x_w66xe-series/kdl-32we613/downloads/00016748

PS: Try using the built-in screen mirroring feature of your phone instead of a 3rd-party app as they're usually really terrible, I believe that Samsung phones have it listed as SmartView or something similar, but I'm not too sure about that one.

I'm trying to connect a Samsung Android smartphone to my Bravia TV to mirror the screen.

I found an app which supports Miracast, but the audio lags behind the video by a noticeable amount. This makes watching speech and music very hard work. So I have several questions:

1) It there a setting on the TV which allows me to adjust the sound/video delay when screen mirroring?

2) Does the TV support Google Cast? The manual makes no mention of it.

3) Is there a better way - e.g. a USB-C to HDMI converter cable?

Thanks in advance for all answers.

Thanks @Joe_Dohn for this. You're right - a typo (can't read my own scribbles) - should have been EW. I@m updating now, but i suspect it's a long process. Oddly, although Sony recommend that you switch automatic updating on, it's off by default, and well hidden in the manual. It's only when people like you tell me about it that I find out.

I tried the Samsung built-in screen mirroring. I'm new to Android and it took a while finding it - it's hidden inside Samsung 'Smart Things' which I had assumed referred only to Samsung devices. It connected OK but the audio/video sync was just as bad as the 3rd-party software - subjectively it seemed a bit worse.

When the update's finished I'll report back.

I should mention that sync is fine on the phone, but of course the screen's tiny and the sound quality not exactly brilliant.

[Later] I've updated the software to what seems to be the latest (580). It's a bit better, but using the Samsung app the delay in video is still very noticeable, especially in speech. The 3rd party app is better - still a slight delay but liveable with (I think - on a short test).

So there's still a problem, possibly to do with the app rather than the TV, but I don't know enough about it to be able to diagnose. A friend who has a Samsung TV says that there's an adjustment you can make to sync audio & video, but it just doesn't seem to be there on the Sony box.

You can try restarting and/or updating your phone, or possibly trying a different one, as I've not personally heard of video/sound sync issues before, you can also try connecting your phone to a Bluetooth speaker, especially if you have a Bluetooth-equipped sound bar.
