Plex and vewd no longer working on NON android tv

I have a sony NON ANDROID KDL-48W705C tv and the app I use most, PLEX (through opera/vewd) will no longer work. The agreement between Sony and the app makers has expired and they are to be removed on 25 june 2019.

How can I access PLEX MEDIA SERVER on my 2 year old tv? or am I expected to scrap it? Maybe I will be stupid enough to buy another Sony device.

Can anyone help?. I am deaf and need to download tv shows/movies, add subtitles and then add them to Plex to even use my tv

Hello @dancerdave,

if I am not mistaken an Amazon Fire TV-stick or Google Chromecast can give you back that functionality.
