Hi Nuke,

I don't think it's possible to completely disable the info banner on the XF70 series. The banner will appear whenever the TV detects any change in the signal. You can still dismiss it using the info button on the remote though.

Win_88

Thanks Win_88.

It seems a silly feature, especially with the ps4 seemingly causing multiple changes during use. Do all TVs do this? I found on these foruns that on other Sonys you can turn it of, so wondered if i was just being stupid, obviously not.

Cheers again.

Hi Nuke,

I don't think you're doing any thing wrong here. I'll try to get this feedback to my Sony contact. Maybe it will be changed in the future or something.

Cheers,

Win_88

Thanks Win_88

In the end I didn't give it too long. Just went and exchanged the TV. Way too distracting, and inconvenient, despite some of the good aspects of the TV.

Gave the Sony customer services my feedback too, after they replied to my email. Some things just arent meant to be it seems.
