Can I Manually Assign Numbers To TV Channels In The Channel Listing?

I have a new KDL - 40W705C tv. The channels have been saved in a very inconvenient listing, with one of my main stations as no.4 but the +1 of the same channel down at no. 87. I was wondering if it is possible to manually save channels in the channel listing so I can save channels at whatever channel numbers I wish. I am unable to find this information in the i-manual as of yet.

Hi there

Yes there is. You can sort the channels into any order you like. There are two ways to do this:

Sorting individual channels on the TV itself. See HERE for instructions.
Exporting the channel list to a USB drive to sort on a computer via editor and importing it when you have finished sorting. Instructions HERE. For some reason, Sony has removed this from its website, but it can be downloaded HERE. Another editor can be found HERE - from one of our own community members
