Help re Av Amp and bluray player

I Bought an 853 Tv and a s 490 bluray player and they worked great together . So much so I Have bought a Sony STR-DH820 Amp and it is driving me crazy.

I can get the blu ray player to play( HDMI into amp hdmi amp to TV )but if I turn the blu ray player off I have to unplug it to turn it back on again.

Also Bravia sync does not seem to work and it did before I added the amp.

For my sky box which is also connected by HDMi to the Amp I added an optical cable for the audio but I still only seem to get 2;1 out of the skybox.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

This has now been sorted thanks To Mahmoud Of Sony Customer services for his help solution was reset Bluray player to factory Settings and and then re sync now all okay very good and patient advisor
