need bravia code for universal remote

The universal remote is a Philips which I use for my Virgin box AND my TV. Just bought a new KDL 42W653A and assumed it would be straightforward to get the Philips remote to recognise the new telly but the code that Philips suggest 2679 doesn't work. Anyone know a code that might?

Hi there

You will probably need to goto Phillips support on this as its their remote control that needs the correct codes. I dont believe it works the other way around (ie Sony supplies codes for other remote controls).

Alternatively, use the Sony remote control to control all the devices on your TV using "Bravia Sync" or Control for HDMI (assuming the Virgin box supports HDMI-CEC features). My remote control for a 2013 TV, controls many devices using Bravia Sync (or devices that support HDMI-CEC).
