Firmware: PKG2.166EUA

The app worked fine till day before yesterday, and since yesterday on launching the Youtube app it says:

This page display failed. ...

Is this at Sony's end or did Youtube break something ?

Also on trying to access www.youtube.com in TV's native browser, it throws a 500 Internal Server Error.

All other internet apps working fine.

Frustrated !!! Netflix broke 2 weeks back, and now its Youtube. I hope Sony fixes this ASAP.

Hi there

Nothing has been reported as of yet through either this forum, or other major forums (including Google's YouTube Forum). This therefore indicates that the problem might be your end. Is it ONLY the YouTube app, or are others not working too - Can you test a couple?

Try these anyhow.

Unplug TV from the wall for 2 mins and try again

Whilst TV is unpluged reboot ISPs router

Considering you have the latest firmware, if steps 1 and 2 fail to resolve the problem, try a factory reset of the TV

Cheers

Thanks for the prompt reply Quinnicus. Only on doing a factory reset, it worked again

a) other apps - iPlayer, Netflix, TED etc all worked fine.

b) Power reset and router reboot were futile.

Though am not too happy to do a factory reset everytime some app breaks on the Sony. They should find a simpler way to fix things (maybe referesh internet content should fix these things).

Thanks again.
