Miracast just displays black screen after updating sw for KDL-50W685A (Windows 8.1)

Got my new KDL-50W685A last week, tried Miracast from my laptop with windows 8.1 and it worked perfectly. However the TV updated its firmware 2 days ago and since that Miracast just displays black screen. The connection is setup properly , both the TV and the laptop is connected. I get the sound out from the TV. But the screen is black. I have re-setup the connection, reinstalled the widi drivers on the PC and taken the latest windows 8 updates but it did not solve the issue. Miracast from my android phone is working properly though.

Anybody here that has experienced the problem? Do you know a solution?

Experiencing excactly the same thing on Bravia KDL-42W655.

Screen is black though sound seems to transfer as usual.

Does mirroring from Android work for you?

Is there a way to check which SW updates the TV has received?

No Miracast Android gadgets, so I don't know if they would work.

Yesterday I hoped the problem was solved as I - after installing an graphics driver update on the pc - had the screen mirroring working. Unfortunately the TV went black again after a few hours and I haven't been able to reconnect since.

After getting upgrade PKG4.401EUA I got Miracast working (from my PC)! Issue solved!

I'm getting the same thing, used to work fine, now black screen when I try to connect my laptop and same with my android phone. Sony fix this, this is one of the main features needed, I can't watch things on a small phone screen

What TV model are you using? What software version is installed on it?
