KDF-E50A11E Problem

Hi Everyone,

So, I have a problem with my Sony Rear Projection 3LCD 50" (KDF-E50A11E)

It is approx 7 years old and apart from two lamp replacements it has worked perfectly since purchase
Lamp was only replaced just 4 months ago

Just yesterday the TV shut down and will not come back on
The lamp icon is permenantly on and the power light is flashing
(Red light Blinking 3x times)

Trying to do some research but nothing definitive on the 3 red lights
Could be one of many things - Lamp blown / Lamp Door Sensor / Short in Board?

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?
Is it a quick fix or expensive repair?

I have managed to ascertain the following information for your RPTV:

It appears that its lamp related.

Thanks a million Quinnicus. That's a handy chart to have.
Looks like a new lamp alright - place I bought lamp 3months ago admit the lamp should not have blown that quickly but will not replace it.

Thanks for your help - replaced the lamp and the TV is backup and running

Although I have another problem, but I will start another thread on that
