RDR Missing Digital Channels - RF channel problem

Hi to all. Just joined community, so nor sure if i am posting this in correct place. Firstly, i realise the issue of missing channels happened back in Jul 13 but my RDR-HXD870 was packed away from May to last Fiday due to house move. The following is the issue i have which i explained to Sony who replied "ensure aerial is correctly connected, Check aerial installation with specialist, check in area to receive signal" :

I packed my rdr-hxd870 into box in May this year when moving house from ip24 3by (on Thetford Transmitter). I removed it from storage at ip22 2sp (6 miles away on Tacolneston transmitter) on 18 10 13 along with my Sony TV connected via HDMI. TV picked up 155 digital channels, recorder was indicating RF 26 with no signal. I changed RF to 55 it picked up 155 channels but when I exited set up, no signal displayed, I went back into set up and found RF channel had reverted to 26, this keeps happening. I also changed the RF to other RF channels and added to list, stiil same. Recorder is also connected to freesat box and records on L1 via SCART ok. I performed factory reset twice, powered off numerous times waiting upto 5 mins, symptom remains. Recorder was updated to latest firmware (1.70) prior to packing away for move with no problems.

Does any one know if there is a fix or is my tuner knackered?. Recorder is 2 years out of warranty.
