https://community.sony.se/t5/other-tvs/kdl-40cx-523/m-p/1276820#M15776 <P>I did not buy the Sony dongle for this TV as my wi fi router is upstairs and I was concerned about signal strength.&nbsp; Sony advised I could use Home plugs so I promptly invested in a set which works for the TV internet connection.&nbsp; Unfortunately I have now been told that "wifi direct" is not available (to link android tablet/smartphone) UNLESS I have the Sony dongle.&nbsp; The tech spec just says:</P><TABLE cellspacing="0"><TBODY><TR><TD><P>Wi-Fi® Direct</P></TD><TD><P>Network Update(WLAN Ready model)</P></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><P>It does not say that Sony dongle is required.</P><P>I find this misleading and am reluctant to buy the dongle (in addition to&nbsp;the homeplugs)</P><P>If anyone has any idea how this problem can be solved, please help!
