    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Dear all,&lt;BR /&gt;after a whole afternoon trying to recover the built-in camera in my VAIO I am here.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I own an Italian registered Sony VAIO VGN-SZ3XP/C with these &lt;A href="https://rp.unisa.it/access/content/user/gencos/caratteristiche.jpg" target="_blank"&gt;general characteristics&lt;/A&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My built-in camera VGP VCC2 does not appear in the Device Manager  (&lt;A href="https://rp.unisa.it/access/content/user/gencos/device%20manager.jpg" target="_blank"&gt;see here&lt;/A&gt; ). The manual says it should be in "Periferiche di imaging" but I do not even get the "Periferiche di imaging" item.&lt;BR /&gt;I have the original driver in C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2&lt;BR /&gt;I tried to install the camera manually as new hardware from the Control Panel using C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2 as my driver disk  but after the selection of the driver disk (&lt;A href="https://rp.unisa.it/access/content/user/gencos/manual%20driver%20installation.jpg" target="_blank"&gt;see here, right part&lt;/A&gt; ) and pressing OK I get a window(&lt;A href="https://rp.unisa.it/access/content/user/gencos/installation%20failure.jpg" target="_blank"&gt;see here&lt;/A&gt; ) with nothing to select., even after copying the content of C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2\Italian in C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please help me on how to restore the webcam.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
