No VGP VCC2 camera in Device Manager

Dear all,
after a whole afternoon trying to recover the built-in camera in my VAIO I am here.

I own an Italian registered Sony VAIO VGN-SZ3XP/C with these general characteristics

My built-in camera VGP VCC2 does not appear in the Device Manager (see here ). The manual says it should be in "Periferiche di imaging" but I do not even get the "Periferiche di imaging" item.
I have the original driver in C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2
I tried to install the camera manually as new hardware from the Control Panel using C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2 as my driver disk but after the selection of the driver disk (see here, right part ) and pressing OK I get a window(see here ) with nothing to select., even after copying the content of C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2\Italian in C:\Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC2

Please help me on how to restore the webcam.
