How to hide Hybrid Graphics (Event Service) icon?

Hello,

I've just bought a Vaio VPC Z13V9E. There's a white triangular icon on system tray related to the Vaio Event Service which shows the current hybrid graphics mode. I want to hide this icon permanently, i.e. without using Windows 7's customization of icon behaviors (I use "Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar"). How can I do this?

Any suggestion or feedback will be welcomed and greatly appreciated.
