If you have a look at the Intel announcement for the issue, you'll see mentioned that system information utilities incorrectly recognizing the stepping. You cannot rely on such utilities to determine the stepping.</P><P></P><P>Regarding the heat issue - I assume that you are not using the VAIO on a soft surface, blocking the air vents, or in a dusty, hot or steamy environment. If there is no plausible reason for the EH to get this hot, please contact VAIO support to have your VAIO checked in the repair centre.
