F Series SIM Adapter

Hi All

I've purchased a 3 Mobile Wireless device and would like to insert the SIM straight into the laptop and avoid the need to carry the device.

My F Series (model VPCF12Z1E) doesn't have a SIM Slot. I didn't check this when I purchased it as it wasn't on my list of requirements.

Is there a SIM adapter that would allow this?

No - you will need to use the 3 Mobile USB Adapter as this contains the Connection Manager software and passwords.

Thanks for the response. Shame about that. Is there a SIM with adapter that would work with the F Series in the UK?

I was surprised to find there was no SIM slot. I never checked when I purchased the laptop as it wasn't a requirement until I invested in a 3 Mobile Adapter.

You ned the 3 mobile Dongle. This contains the required modem and software for all laptops.

Surprisingly few laptops have the sim slot these days - these tend to be in the ultraportable class.
