best music prog

hi

i was just woundering if any of you had a different app to use instead of the current one i am using fruity loops 3.4 i have also ripped on the steinburg cubase but is there another app i am missing out on one that is sort of the equal to premiere in the music world

Reason is the big daddy of music programs, and is VERY expensive but excellent once you have sat a course - LOL it's not easy to use.

My friend has it in his music studio, it's a techo person's dream.
We messed around with the TR-303s and the 808s and re-created some acid house from like 1988.

But the more productive side of the application is really nice.
The sampler is second to none.

cheers for that kee-lo the ones i have been using are pretty cool,,easy to get a hang of but some of them give you strange beats to use and audtion well it basicly gives you whole tunes and it doesnt really feel like your own work more like you put someone elses together for them you can streach them and stuff but the loops i think are a little to long

i will see if i can have ago on this reason sounds cool

i wouldnt mind giving that reason a demo, since ive been MAC less im searching to find something to replace apples soundtrack.. can you get a timed demo do you think??

Yeh its all about Reason, alot of Speed Garage Producers are using this program but depends alot now on what u are used to & the limits of the software that you use.

Good M8 of mine DJ Zef has had some cool results when messing around on Fruity Loops. But thru progress with that software he has moved on to a better program

added!!!

Yeh sorry the program he is ising now is reason, hard work but will be worth it in the end

yeah i checked out the first demo mix it sounds sick alot cleaner than fruity,,,,

djryu i use fruity loops and cubase/audtion but they arnt really creative enough fruity loops is pretty good but still restricks a little ,,,,
what did your mate move onto the reason?????

Reason has a steep learning curve, so it's going to take time.

is it anything like fruity or cubase if so that will be pretty easy to get a grip of

just incase it has loads of little tricks of the trade so to speak hidden little shorts like after effects has i went to search in ebay for some help and ended up see a full video traning for 2.0 even thou 2.5 is out now it would drag you up to pace and then the new freatures would just roll :smileygrin:

it would be good to try and get a hold of it i have been watching it now and its only 8.50

Ben,

No it's not like FL or Cubase, there are boxes which you have to connect up and a lot of cool stuff you can add via VST plugins.

Those people in Propellerheads are very clever :smileynerd:
