VGC-RA304 freezing when inserting CD-DVD

I have just bought this computer and unfortunately when I try to introduce a DVD-CD in the optical slot DVD the machine freezes and the only way of getting out is to switch it off and on again. Not even Crtl+Alt+Del does anything.
It does not happen all the time, only ramdomly.
I also see at times a message regarding a VzFw.exe application not being able to be executed.
Anyone has any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum, Go to vaio Link and obtain the utilities availble for your machine and reinstall them again. Grab the updates also and restart.

Probably not the real answer but have you tried "unhiding" the offending file and renaming it.

Try googling the filename.

Thank you William. I do not think the VzFw.exe is a problem. What I am more concerned about is the fact that the DVD freezes more often than not when I insert a DVD/CD. Any ideas on this.
