This happened befoe and it took me ages to fix it, in the end i got a download form the sony site ( i think it was a Bios update) that fixed the problem. It was ok then for a few months, then it started overheating and turning off when i watch movies or visited a flash based website for example. I didn't use the computer for a few months then and last summer i started using it again, spent a week search forums and the internet, in the end I found a BIOS update on the sony site ( had to download and install it manually, as it would not download with Vaio Update).
