Function keys not working on VAIO VGN-FS295VP

Does anyone know where I can find the drivers to make the function keys work onn XP Pro on my Sony VAIO VGN-FS295VP Model PCG-7A1M?

I cannot adjust the screen brightness and it is too dim. Also I cannot adjust the sound. Basically the blue function keys do not work and I have installed all the correct drivers? I have seen this talked about when upgrading to viata but I am using XP.

This is so bad it is causing me eye strain.

Hi Mark and welcome.

Go to the Support Downloads Page for your Vaio here: -

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-FS295VP/updates

Under the Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities Tab, download the Original Utilities Package.

The file will download as a .ZIP file. Right-click on it and choose 'Extract All'. Choose to extract to C:\

For the Fn Keys install: -

1. Utils Installer 1 (Sony Utilities DLL)

2. Utils Installer 2 (Sony Shared Library)

3. Utils Installer 6 (Setting Utility Series)

4. Utils Installer 7 (Vaio Event Service)

Install these in order and, if necessary, be prepared to install them twice.
